Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is an exchange programme that gives new or aspiring entrepreneurs a chance to learn from experienced entrepreneurs and vice versa. The programme focuses on small and medium sized businesses in the participant countries.Each participant country has local contact points that are currently looking for both new and experienced entrepreneurs to take part in the programme!
Benefits
New entrepreneurs benefit from on-the-job training in a small or medium-sized enterprise in another participating country. This will ease the successful start of business or strengthen a new enterprise. New entrepreneurs can also benefit from access to new markets, international cooperation and potential possibilities for collaboration with business partners abroad.
Host entrepreneurs benefit from fresh ideas from a motivated new entrepreneur on their business. The new entrepreneur may have specialised skills or knowledge in an area the host does not yet master. Also host entrepreneurs benefit from international cooperation and get to meet potential new business partners abroad.
Applying for the programme
A new entrepreneur that is firmly planning to start a small or medium sized business based on a viable business plan or has less than three (3) years of entrepreneurial experience can apply for the programme.
Host entrepreneurs benefit from fresh ideas from a motivated new entrepreneur on their business. The new entrepreneur may have specialised skills or knowledge in an area the host does not yet master. Also host entrepreneurs benefit from international cooperation and get to meet potential new business partners abroad.
Applying for the programme
An experienced entrepreneur that has been running a company for more than three (3) years and is willing to share personal knowledge and experience with a new entrepreneur can apply for the programme as host entrepreneur.
Both the new and host entrepreneurs must be permanent residents in one of the participant countries. The host entrepreneur's company must also be registered in the country of residence.

When new and host entrepreneurs register on the programme, the matchmaking starts. Based on the wishes of the both entrepreneurs the local contact points help to find a good match between the new and host entrepreneur. The contact points help the entrepreneurs in establishing a relationship and in other practical arrangements.
Entrepreneur exchange
The new entrepreneur stays with the experienced host entrepreneur for the period of 1-6 months.
The new entrepreneur gets monthly financial support from European Commission during their exchange period.
